As of 2025, North Korea has flight-tested a range of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) that analysts assess could potentially reach the U.S. mainland, including newer designs using solid propellant which are generally easier to transport and can be prepared for launch more quickly than older liquid-fueled missiles.
