A 2018 analysis using Google Ngram Viewer reported that between 1965 and 1984 the yearly frequencies of sentences linking 'racism'/'racist' with 'IQ'/'intelligence' and sentences linking 'heritability'/'heritable' with 'IQ'/'intelligence' were strongly positively correlated (r = 0.995, p < .05, N = 19), whereas between 1984 and 2000 the two trends were negatively correlated (r = -0.601, p < .05, N = 16), with sentences linking 'heritability'/'heritable' to 'IQ'/'intelligence' declining after 1984.
