Taiwan requires digital arrival card for travelers
Taiwan’s immigration authority (MINIA) has launched a mandatory digital arrival card (TWAC) for incoming visitors, requiring applicants to submit passport details and contact/accommodation information at least three days before travel. The free TWAC replaces or supplements arrival paperwork and aims to streamline border processing; the report also notes that Europe is simultaneously rolling out an Entry/Exit System (EES) that will begin phased biometric collection (face and fingerprint) on Oct. 12, 2025.
