Portland police seek suspect after DLO loses track

Portland police asked the public for help locating a woman accused of assaulting someone outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building in the South Portland neighborhood after a Dialogue Liaison Officer (DLO)—a sworn officer assigned to engage with protesters—attempted to detain her but lost sight of her. The DLO flagged the incident just before 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, called for backup, and the case has been assigned to a detective in the Major Crimes Unit as investigators follow up and await evidence before forwarding charges to the Multnomah County District Attorney when feasible.
