Pittsburgh fan charged with prowling after PNC Park fall

Kavan Markwood, 20, the Pittsburgh Pirates fan who fell more than 20 feet onto the field at PNC Park on April 30, 2025, has been charged with a misdemeanor count of loitering and prowling at nighttime after Brentwood police say he allegedly attempted to gain entry to an ex‑girlfriend’s home at about 3 a.m. this past Sunday; doorbell camera footage reportedly captured him "forcefully knocking." Markwood was intoxicated when detained, will be cited by mail summons, and had previously been hospitalized in critical condition after the stadium fall.
