UVA students plan flag‑burning 'Antifascist Tailgate' protest

Students associated with an unofficial antifascist group at the University of Virginia say they will hold an "Antifascist Tailgate" in a campus parking lot Friday evening from 6:00–6:30 p.m., where participants plan to burn American flags in protest of President Donald Trump's executive order targeting flag desecration. The event — advertised on a flyer showing a flag on a grill and promoted on social media by a White House rapid response strategist — was organized by UVA law student and Navy veteran Kirk Wolff under the banner Friends Against Fascism Organization (FAFO); university officials say FAFO is not a recognized student group and are investigating the post.
