Idaho judge blocks release of Kohberger crime‑scene photos

Idaho Second District Judge Megan Marshall ruled that law‑enforcement agencies may not release graphic images, video or audio from the Nov. 13, 2022 slayings of four University of Idaho students if the material shows victims' bodies or blood. The judge said such disclosure would be an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy while allowing other investigatory records to be released only after blacking out areas containing blood or bodies; the case stems from Bryan Kohberger's guilty plea and July 2025 sentencing to consecutive life terms.
