Tropical Storm Priscilla forms off Mexico coast

The National Hurricane Center reported on Oct. 4, 2025 that Tropical Storm Priscilla formed in the eastern Pacific about 285 miles south‑southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico. Priscilla had maximum sustained winds of 45 mph, with tropical‑storm‑force winds extending up to 140 miles from its center; a tropical storm watch was issued from Punta San Telmo to Punta Mita and the NHC forecast it could reach hurricane strength while moving generally parallel to Mexico’s southwestern coast.
