D.C. man arrested with alleged Molotov outside Red Mass
Louis Geri, 41, of Vineland, New Jersey, was arrested on Sunday after setting up a tent on the steps of Saint Matthew’s Cathedral in Washington, D.C., where the annual Red Mass was to be held; officers found vials of liquid and possible fireworks and say he possessed a makeshift Molotov cocktail. Metropolitan Police Department officers—supported by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team and the Arson Task Force—secured the scene, examined the suspect’s belongings, and charged Geri with unlawful entry, threats to kidnap or injure, and possession of a Molotov cocktail; police said there was no ongoing threat to the public.
