Feds indict two over Instagram threats to ICE officer

A federal grand jury in Georgia on Sept. 23 indicted two out‑of‑state men — Frank Andrew Waszut, 41 (Knoxville, Tenn.), and Anthony Patrick Noto, 63 (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) — for knowingly making threats to injure a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportation officer and his wife after Instagram posts identified the officer and published his family’s image. Waszut allegedly posted a video displaying the officer unmasked and urged violence; Noto allegedly commented under a photo of the officer’s wife referencing an 'A‑R' semiautomatic rifle. The case is being investigated by the FBI’s Atlanta field office and prosecutors say both men have been taken into custody and will be prosecuted in federal court in the Northern District of Georgia.
