Oklahoma to Pad Stadium Brick Wall After Injury

After Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver Keontez Lewis crashed headfirst into an unpadded brick wall during the Oct. 4, 2025 game vs. Kent State and was carted off, the University of Oklahoma confirmed plans to install padding around the brick wall at Gaylord Family–Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Coach Brent Venables said the specifics and timing are not yet finalized but affirmed the school will address the vulnerable area; Lewis is reported to be in good spirits and recovering.
