Judge blocks HHS rules on teen‑pregnancy grants

U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell on Oct. 8 blocked the Trump administration from enforcing new HHS rules that required federal Teen Pregnancy Prevention grantees to avoid "radical indoctrination" and "gender ideology," calling the policy politically driven and "incomprehensibly vague." The nationwide injunction, won by Planned Parenthood affiliates in California, Iowa and New York, halts a July guidance issued under executive orders signed Jan. 20, 2025, and applies to all organizations receiving the grants.
