Ohio bans THC hemp gummies and drinks

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed an executive order on Oct. 8, 2025 banning sales of intoxicating hemp products such as THC-containing gummies, beverages and cookies, requiring retailers to remove them by Oct. 14. The order cites rising pediatric exposures reported by Ohio Poison Control and empowers the Department of Agriculture to confiscate products, with $500-per-day fines for noncompliance and a directive to return products to manufacturers or law enforcement.
