Florida sets Nov. 13 execution for 1979 child murder

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a death warrant for Bryan Fredrick Jennings, 66, scheduling his execution by lethal injection on Nov. 13, 2025 at Florida State Prison for the 1979 abduction, rape and murder of 6-year-old Rebecca Kunash. It would be Florida’s 16th scheduled execution in 2025, the most under any Florida governor since 1976, as attorneys are expected to pursue last-minute appeals to the Florida and U.S. Supreme Courts.
