13-year-old charged in fatal Newburgh shooting
Newburgh, N.Y., police arrested a 13-year-old boy on Friday and charged him with second-degree murder after an 11-year-old was found fatally shot around 8 a.m. Thursday inside a home at 184 North Miller Street. Police recovered a firearm, identified and located three minors of interest, and said the suspect was not related to the victim; the school district is offering counseling and support to students and staff.
