NWEA: Reading stagnates, math inching up

NWEA released Spring 2025 MAP Growth results on Oct. 14 showing U.S. students in grades 3–8 remain below 2019 performance in both reading and math, with reading scores stagnant and math showing slight gains versus 2024 across several grades. The testing group also launched a public dashboard, updated three times a year, to let school leaders and policymakers compare local performance to national trends.
