Supreme Court declines Colorado parental-rights case
The U.S. Supreme Court on Oct. 13 declined to hear a lawsuit by two Colorado families alleging their parental rights were violated by Poudre School District R-1 policies around school Gender and Sexualities Alliance meetings and gender-identity disclosures. While denying review, Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch issued a statement warning of the national significance of districts encouraging student gender transitions without parental knowledge, citing claims that nearly 6,000 schools have similar policies.
